SLSFSC is participating in the Government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program (“REP”) which requires proof of vaccination or negative test result, plus mandatory masking. As per Government rules, effective October 25, 2021, proof of double vaccination is required to gain entry to our centre. AHS Guidelines

QR CODE REQUIRED - EFFECTIVE NOV 15

As per government rules, a scanned QR code will be the only acceptable proof of double vaccination. Out-of-province documents will still be accepted - the AB QR code reader only reads AB information.

For patrons who have been screened prior to Nov 15, a one-time rescreen will be necessary using the QR code app to verify two doses have been received. Alternatively, a medical exemption or a negative COVID-19 test result from the last 72 hours is required to enter our centre. Get your QR code here: covidrecords.alberta.ca

At this time, access to SLSFSC is limited to our Main Entrance. Totem 2 arena entrance doors are locked between the hours of 6am-3pm, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). Both doors will have staff checking proof of vaccination.

All references below to “SLSFSC” include both Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (main facility) and Cochrane Arena.

Please respect these rules put in place by the Government of Alberta and be kind to our team who is working diligently to ensure the safety of all our guests.

RESTRICTIONS EXEMPTION PROGRAM (REP) – FAQ

I have a membership and I think I want to take a break. What options do I have for my membership?

If now is not the right time for you, we understand and offer the following options:

  • Temporary Pause
    • Any active member who wishes to pause their membership may do so for a period of up two months (the temporary pause will last until November 30).
  • Cancel your Monthly Membership (Not available for Annual Memberships)
Monthly Members who wish to cancel their membership must submit written notice to the Guest Services team at least five (5) days prior to the next payment date. If less than five (5) days notice is given, it may result in payment being processed for the upcoming month and the cancelation will take effect the following month.

I have a punch pass but do not feel comfortable coming to your facility under these new restrictions. Can I get a refund?

10 X punch passes, day passes, and gift cards are non-refundable; however, they never expire. These passes and cards can be used any time in the future to access the facility once you feel comfortable to do so.

PROGRAM & ACTIVITY SPECIFICS

My child (0-17 years) is enrolled in an SLSFSC or user group program. Do they need to show proof of vaccination?

No. The Alberta Government has confirmed that under the REP, all youth (0-17) can participate in their activity or sport without having to provide proof of vaccination. Masks, and distancing are required in all public areas, and dressing rooms until participating in the activity.

NOTE: Anyone age 12+, including youth that are not actively participating in a sporting program at SLSFSC, should be prepared to show proof of vaccination (or negative test).

Can I bring my child who has not been vaccinated (under 12) to an activity?

Yes, so long as the adult entering can provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result.

Am I allowed to spectate?

Yes. Anyone 12+ will be asked to provide proof of vaccination or negative test result to enter for spectating purposes.

I wish to withdraw from a program I have paid for. How do I do that? Can I get a refund?

To withdraw from any SLSFSC registered program please contact Guest Services at 403-932-1635.
